... but I won't pretend to know when.

I hate to do this to you all. (If you're even seeing this page you are already dedicated beyond all reason. :P ) But real talk, the outside world has been steadily, slowly chipping away at my ability to work on art. At the same time, I'm regularly making money on commissioned artwork.

EvAb, by contrast, makes me almost no money and prevents me from having, like, any other hobbies.

So when will EvAb be back? I'm not sure. When the time is right. Hopefully in a few months. Maybe longer. I don't know.

All I know is that I love Lilith, and Uche, and Asuka, and Russell, and even Nick too much to say goodbye forever. I have too much story to tell. I still believe in this story.

I still believe that the future will save us.

In the meantime, I'm tentatively planning on doing stuff with my artist page on Facebook again, and I'm still posting regularly on the Inkt Comics Facebook page as well. Actually, just look me up on Facebook: I'm under my non-pseudonym name of Jon Grasseschi. I accept pretty much any friend request that doesn't look like it comes from a pornobot.

And you'll really probably want to sign up to the mailing list if you want to see more art and find out what I'm doing, as a few of the things I'm working on could hopefully lead to great, great things in the near future.

So, yeah. Not sure what the future holds. Not sure when EverydayAbnormal will make its return. All I hope is that you'll join me again when it does.

Talk to you all soon!

Of all the reasons to take a hiatus, this is one of the happier ones. Good luck with your work and commissions!

And I just got caught up. Well, it's great fortune that you've been able to use your prodigious talents towards money, and that has to take priority. There'll be a way for EvAb to return, I'm sure of it

I don't know I'd go so far as to call them "prodigious" but ....

Yeah, I saw you'd just gotten caught up on the series and was like "... well, that's some fucking timing." So, uh ... sorry? :P

That's great that your commission work is doing so well! And no worries; when EDA returns, I'll be here. :)

I'm a fan of EverydayAbnormal and I look forward to seeing it return someday. But we, the readers, have no claim on your time; bring back EvAb when it makes sense for you and don't worry about us.

I will say that if you had some sort of Patreon I would sign up for it. There is a Patreon option that is designed for slow-updating comics: someone agrees to tip you a fixed amount for each update, with a cap on it (like max 5 updates per month or something like that). I am signed up like that on a slow-updating comic I read... when he is able to update, he gets the Patreon money.

Also, I really like your writing on this series. If you ever find an artist who wants to draw EvAb while you write it, I hope you will consider the idea.

Thanks for creating as much EvAb as you have. I wish you well wherever life takes you going forward.

I actually just closed my Patreon. I never got much traction nor had the time or energy to maintain it properly. I'll probably start a new one when it comes time to restart EvAb or when I undertake my next major project.

Finding an artist isn't out of the question! I do plan on asking around. Maybe something will come of it?

Anyway, thank you very much for the kind words. Hopefully we'll see each other back here sooner rather than later. C:

As long as the notification process works, I'll be back when you are. :)

Live large, my friend, and make enough money to pay those bills. Playtime can wait. ^^
